​And now a word from my main characters
Rosetta and Joyce Blessing

"Hi. My name is Rosetta Blessing. I'm divorced with a twenty-five year old daughter. I was working as a travel agent but had to take a vacation. My daughter and I took a trip up the Danube. We solved a historic case locating a lost jewel. Since quitting my job at the travel agency, both of us are working to build our detective business.
"I just received a call from my cousin in Colorado. His father was murdered. Now I have to pack and catch the next plane to help him out in Mystery Along the Colorado." ​

The second main character in Mystery Along the Colorado is Rosetta's daughter, Joyce Blessing.
"I wear my blond hair tied in back or under a baseball cap. I love rock climbing, which saved me from kidnappers in the first book, Mystery Along the Danube. Right now I'm balancing college courses and helping mom at their new detective agency. I use my photography skills in our investigative work. 
When my mom decided to fly to Colorado to help out her family. I joined her later to help her. Every family member is suspect. ​

​I'm Arlene, Ben's wife and Bernard's sister-in-law.
We were shocked when the housekeeper called us about Bernard passing. We saw him just last night. You see, we stay in his home most of the time. To think it was from something we eat every morning. At first I thought he had a heart attack, but it wasn't. We were having a terrible time distributing Bernard's affairs until Rosetta joined us. She and her daughter are so refreshing from the usual insolent family members we see. At first Ben thought someone stole my medicine and used that to poison Ben, but the police found out it was something else. I do hope it wasn't any of us.

If you must know, I'm Ruth Manning. I am-was Bernard's companion. We were going to get married next week when Bernard died. Sometimes I stay at his house and other times I stay at my daughter's house, which is still mine. Bernard can be a grouch at times, but we loved talking about our past experiences. He used to date Mary from across the street but I put a stop to that. Before Bernard and I got together, I helped the greenskeeper with the yard and the horses. Sure, Daniel used to have my attention when his wife died from a disease, but when Bernard's first wife had a terrible accident, Mary moved right in. Later, she fell from her horse but lived. I commensurate with Bernard and stayed with him. I think I know who did Bernard in, but I don't have any proof. Rosetta is nice but she's too trusting of her family.

​My name is Ben Gantry. Bernard was my brother. Sure I asked him for a loan. I had a timely opportunity and my CDs weren't available yet. Yes, I was disappointed when Bernard turned me down. There's too many people in this house. That's why Arlene and I head for our cabin in the mountains. We were sorting things out after Bernard's death when this Rosetta shows up. Maybe she is family, but we don't need strangers poking their noses into our affairs. And who in the devil is Alfred?
