I thought I'd write a historical fiction about my grandmother. She immigrated with her parents and four siblings to the United States in 1904. They walked and rode from a small area in Poland, and probably took the train across Germany to Rotterdam. She was 14 at the time. So I'm researching what it was like to travel across Europe and live in the steerage of a ship for 3-4 weeks. It's a horrible way to travel but where she met her future husband. I'd like to release this novella in September 2021. We'll see.

The July free newsletter was sent on July 5th. If you want a copy use the Newsletter tab above and fill out the short form. It's early this time so I can take a break. Well, I'm off to see the wizard. Not really and I won't be driving. Our get-away from the Arizona heat will soon arrive. I'll be writing notes on my novella, a historical fiction, and jot down some ideas for my next novel, Eye of the Kingdom. Be sure to pick up my latest Rosetta Blessing cozy mystery, Mystery Along the Colorado. This time Rosetta's life is in danger as she discovers who murdered her uncle. Read about my characters through my webpage/NewRelease! We'll head for the coast and meet and greet my sister that I haven't seen in almost 2 years! Wi-fi could be sporadic so the August newsletter may be late. The second main character in Mystery Along the Colorado is Rosetta's daughter, Joyce Blessing. She wears her blond hair tied in back or under a baseball cap. She's thinner than Rosetta but she works out on her rock climbing hobby. That's what saved her from kidnappers in the first book, Mystery Along the Danube. Right now she's balancing college courses, helping her mother at their new detective agency, and dating. She loves photography and uses this skill in their investigative work. Joyce comes into this story in the beginning when her mother decides to fly to Colorado alone to help out her family. Later, Joyce appears to help Rosetta solve their cases. Yes, two murder cases with all of the family members as suspects. For more character viewpoints, go to my webpage/NewRelease! |
