The second main character in Mystery Along the Colorado is Rosetta's daughter, Joyce Blessing. She wears her blond hair tied in back or under a baseball cap. She's thinner than Rosetta but she works out on her rock climbing hobby. That's what saved her from kidnappers in the first book, Mystery Along the Danube. Right now she's balancing college courses, helping her mother at their new detective agency, and dating. She loves photography and uses this skill in their investigative work.
Joyce comes into this story in the beginning when her mother decides to fly to Colorado alone to help out her family. Later, Joyce appears to help Rosetta solve their cases. Yes, two murder cases with all of the family members as suspects.
