(Book 6 of 9) I don't recall how Desert Shock came to me, but I was looking for a good detective story I could continue with my character in my Domino Sagas. Since I live in Arizona, I chose Tucson as Alex Blackhawk's place of work with the police department. He commutes from a smaller town, Tuba City. Some of my stories come from the news. I had read of a terrible murder that occurred in Idaho and decided to use some of the details in my fictional account. Three murders take place and somehow my detective always ends in Washington D.C.
